Good times. Sharing the stage with the mega-talented Kishi Bashi, I had the pleasure of spending ten days on the road with Philly's own Buried Beds. Nearly every show was sold out, and the crowds were incredible.
“[a] tastefully melodic and fun(ny) set... Buried Beds was good, a great opener”
“rollicking supporters Buried Beds...quickly proved their worth, crafting lush, orchestral music with a light-pop sheen”
“Next up was Kishi Bashi’s touring partner, Philly’s beloved Buried Beds, my nominee for stars of the night. Their set was upbeat, and they slipped some rock into the otherwise pop-heavy concert. The vocalists work together so well, and people in the crowd who came for the sticky pop of Kishi Bashi were looking at each other saying, “that was actually really awesome.””
“Chamber-pop group Buried Beds in particular was a great fit for the bill, loosening up the crowd with percussive and melodic pop songs that filled the TLA well.”
“Buried Beds kicked things off, and they did so quite well... It was a rather impressive start to an evening of music.”
“The opener, Buried Beds, though I had not heard of them before were very good. I particularly enjoyed the myriad of expressions their drummer exhibited. He was so into his playing, it was hard not to get lost in the music yourself.”
I always appreciate getting personal shout outs, even if those faces are questionable... Thanks @NorvaVisitor!
Finally, while in Durham on the last leg, we stopped in to ReverbNation headquarters and performed a few acoustic versions in their studio.
